BUUMBA CHIMBULU writes@SunZambianOVER K320, 000 has been invested by Atlas Mara Zambia in the refurbishment of the Chingola Branch in its quest to expand banking services across the country.Atlas Mara Zambia Regional Head of Branch and Distribution for Copperbelt, North Western and central province, Solomon Ngondo, said the Bank was proud to have completed the refurbishment of the Atlas Mara Chingola Branch in 2020 as planned.He said this was done despite the negative socio-economic environment that had been brought about by the Covid-19 pandemic.Mr Ngondo said the Bank had continued to maintain the biggest branch and ATM network in the Copperbelt Province.Mr Ngondo said this was a sign of recognition of the vast contribution the Copperbelt Province made to Zambia as the largest contributor to the country’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP).He was speaking yesterday at the official relocation and re-launch of Chingola Branch.“Atlas Mara Bank is committed to offering our customers better ways of banking through our distinct products and services which are tailored for our customers on the Copperbelt.“We are able to seamlessly support our Small Medium Enterprises (SME), our Business Banking Customers and our Corporate customers,” Mr Ngondo said.He said the Bank managed its customers through a careful segmentation which allowed it to take time to understand the business and hence pro-actively come up with relevant solutions that help clients to grow.“This proactivity includes the introduction of word class digital channels that include Internet Banking and our soon to be launched SME Mobile Application all with the intention of allowing you to access banking services in your own time conveniently,” he said.Chingola Province Mayor, Titus Tembo, acknowledged that Atlas Mara had continued to maintain the biggest branch and ATM network on the Copperbelt Province.Mr Tembo commended the Bank for continuing with this investment despite the socio-economic impact of the Covid-19 pandemic which had negatively impacted many organisationsHe said Chingola was an important district for the country’s economic growth and development as it hosts one of the biggest mines in Zambia.“We are delighted to hear about Atlas Mara Banks world class products and service which you have available for both business and retail cus-tomers which will go a long way in supporting and diversifying our predominantly mining economy,” he said.
