ADOPTIONS ARE REFLECTION OF COLLECTIVE RESPONSIBILITY
By OLIVER SAMBOKO THE  adoption of candidates to contest elections at different levels was the collective responsibility of the Central Committee  and not one individual as being suggested in some quarters, the Patriotic Front has said. PF Media Director, Antonio Mwanza said in an interview yesterday that suggestions that the list of adopted candidates was doctored or influenced by PF Secretary General, Davies Mwila were malicious and have no basis. Mr Mwanza said the adoptions were based on recommendations of all PF Party structures from the Wards, Constituency, District, Provincial Committees up to the Central Committee. Further, the Central Committee relied on impeccable and honest reports from different organizations, individuals and communities, which other people may not be aware of. He said in some cases, some constituencies had more than 10 candidates and it was not possible to pick everyone as only one was needed. He appealed to members not adopted to remain loyal to the party keeping in mind that there is always another chance. He said even President Lungu had gone through phases of not being adopted but never gave up and kept on supporting the party until his chance finally came. Mr Mwanza also urged party members to go flat out and campaign for President Edgar Lungu, Professor Nkandu Luo and all adopted candidates for each particular area. He urged the members to respect the party decision on covid19 prevention measures and avoid crowds.
