ONLY 14 students out of 179 cleared in full in the recently held 2020 Zambia Institute of Advanced Legal Education (ZIALE) examinations.University of Zambia (UNZA) Vice Chancellor, Luke Mumba expressed happiness that 13 were from UNZA School of Law, translating to 93 percent of the successful candidates being UNZA trained.According to a statement issued by UNZA acting Head – Communication and Marketing, Marjorie Nkamba, 179 candidates sat for the ZIALE examination but that only 14 cleared them in full.“We are reliably informed that 179 candidates sat for this examination and only 14 cleared them in full. Of these, 13 were UNZA School of Law graduates. This comes as no surprise because, UNZA has been dominating the ZIALE examinations since 1970,” the statement read.Prof Mumba congratulated the UNZA School of Law staff and graduates for the outstanding performance at the 2020 ZIALE examinations. He said this was vindicated by the amazing history of graduating chief justices, judges and lawyers who have decorated not only the Zambian judiciary for years, but that of other countries as well.
